Taron Egerton struggles watching himself on screen

Taron Egerton has confessed that he struggles to watch himself on the big screen.

Taron Egerton finds it “hard” to watch himself on-screen.

The 35-year-old actor has admitted that his mood often dictates whether he wants to watch himself on screen or not.

The Hollywood star – who rose to prominence in the ‘Kingsman’ film franchise – told ‘Extra’: “It really depends on how I’m feeling.

“If I’m feeling robust, then it’s all good. If I’m not feeling robust, it can be hard, and I think that’s just called being a human being.

“It’s certainly not something that I rush to do, maybe as much as I used to, but I do also like to see a movie come together or a TV show come together.”

Taron previously acknowledged that he’s been “really, really lucky” as an actor.

The movie star – who previously appeared in the Sir Elton John biopic ‘Rocketman’ – conceded that “some lovely opportunities” came his way during an important phase in his acting career.

During an appearance on Sky News’ ‘Backstage’ podcast, Taron explained: “I was so lucky between the ages of sort of 23 and 28 in that I had some lovely opportunities, and I just was really, really lucky as an actor with the things that came my way.

“But I did feel that I was waiting for something meaty and that arrived in the form of ‘Rocketman’, and it also had this commercial appeal, and it was just a great thing, and I felt that once all was said and done and we were finished, my instinct was: ‘You absolutely have to follow this with something interesting and don’t just rush into something’.”
