Jack Whitehall will host the BRIT Awards for the fifth time in March.
Jack Whitehall is set to host the upcoming BRIT Awards.
The 36-year-old comedian is poised to host the awards show at London’s O2 Arena on March 1, and Jack can’t wait to return to the role, describing the BRITs as his “favourite night of the year”.
The stand-up star – who last hosted the awards show in 2021 – said: “They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that is absolutely the case with the BRIT Awards. It is my favourite night of the year.”
Jack hasn’t been available to host the show in recent years due to his jam-packed work schedule. But he’s now available and he’s thrilled to be hosting the show for the fifth time in his career.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Jack is such a brilliant BRITs host and isn’t afraid to take the p*** out of some of the world’s biggest stars.
“He has such a hectic diary that he’s been unable to take part for the past few years. But he was available this time and said yes immediately. It is one of his favourite gigs as he can have some real fun with the celebs.”
In 2021, Jack took to social media to announce that he was stepping down as the host of the BRIT Awards.
The TV star – who poked fun at various big-name celebrities during his time as the host – wrote on X: “Sad to say after 4 brilliant years, I’ll be handing on the baton as I’ll be in the US filming another project at the top of next year. Loved doing it so much. All the best to the new host, I pray they treat Mursy, my mixers and sweet little Nialler with the respect they deserve. (sic)”
