Tory Lanez ‘stabbed 14 times’ in prison

Rapper Tory Lanez has allegedly been stabbed 14 times in prison, leaving him with collapsed lungs and on breathing apparatus, but he is now “talking normally” on his own.

Tory Lanez has allegedly been stabbed 14 times in prison, leaving him with collapsed lungs.

The 32-year-old rapper is serving a 10-year sentence at the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the feet in July 2020, and he said to have been struck in jail, leaving him with seven wounds on his back, four on his torso, two on the back of his head, and one on his face.

Lanez’s team wrote on his official Instagram page: “Tory was stabbed 14 times – including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus. He is now breathing on his own. (sic)”

The ‘Hurts Me’ hitmaker – whose real name is Daystar Peterson – is now “talking normally”, and he is “deeply thankful to God” that he is “pulling through”.

The post continued: “Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through.

“He also wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support. (sic)”

California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesperson Pedro Calderón Michel said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times newspaper that the attack occurred around 7.20am on Monday (12.05.25), and that prison staff “immediately responded, activated 911 and began medical aid” to Lanez.

He was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

The California Correctional Institute and the Kern County district attorney’s office are now investigating the incident.

In January, Megan was granted a restraining order against Lanez until 2030 over fears he will “shoot” her again.

The ‘Mamushi’ hitmaker had claimed the rapper had been harassing her from prison, and she gave an emotional testimony via video conference during a hearing in Los Angeles.

Megan told Judge Richard Bloom she has not “been at peace” since being shot and is “just tired of being harassed.”

According to Billboard, she added: “It just seems like I have to relive it every day. The person who shot me won’t let me forget it.

“I’m scared that when he gets out of jail he’s going to still be upset with me … I feel like maybe he’ll shoot me again and maybe this time I won’t make it.”

The judge ruled in Megan’s favour and banned Lanez from contacting her or going anywhere near her until 9 January 2030, three years before he is due to complete his prison sentence.
