Yungblud releases live cover of Black Sabbath’s Changes for charity

Yungblud is raising funds for charities close to idol Ozzy Osbourne’s heart with his cover of Changes from Back To The Beginning.

Yungblud has released his cover of Black Sabbath’s Changes from the Back To The Beginning farewell concert for charity.

The star-studded metal gig at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5 – which raised almost $200 million for charity – saw the 27-year-old rocker tip the hat to his hero, Ozzy Osbourne.

Now, fans can stream Changes – (Live from Villa Park) Back To The Beginning (Feat. Nuno Bettencourt, ii, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman) and help raise funds for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Yungblud said: “This was hands down the biggest moment of my entire life. I got to stand on stage and honour one of my heroes, and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.”

He added: “The best part about this release is that we can take such a monumental moment, immortalise it on tape, release it and donate all the money to such important causes in Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. This is what Rock and roll is about. Stream it, buy it, add it to your playlist – let’s raise some f****** money.”

Ozzy, 76 – who has a special bond with Yungblud and was overwhelmed to receive a custom crucifix chain from him backstage at the concert – praised the cover: “He did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.”

What’s more, Mercury Studios has announced that Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow will receive a theatrical debut in early 2026. Currently in production, the film will celebrate the enduring legacy of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.

Sharon Osbourne was the mastermind behind the concert and Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello directed proceedings.

As well as the War Pigs rockers, members of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Sleep Token and more took to the stage.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood also performed.
