Microsoft says it will keep updating Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 despite staff reductions at Turn 10 Studios.
Microsoft has confirmed that Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 will continue to receive updates, despite recent job cuts at Turn 10 Studios.
Last month, reports emerged that Microsoft had made reductions at the Washington-based developer, raising concerns about the future of the Forza franchise, but the publisher has reassured players both games will continue to receive support.
Microsoft wrote on social media: “Dear Forza Community, we know many of you have questions about what’s next for the Forza franchise, and we appreciate the support of our incredible community.
“We wanted to assure players that Turn 10 and Playground Games will continue to support Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5.”
Turn 10 has also detailed its next major update for Forza Motorsport.
Update 21, set to arrive on 13 August, will introduce the American Track Tour, featuring races at iconic U.S. circuits including Laguna Seca, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Daytona International Speedway.
Players can also expect new spotlight cars and events, as well as further improvements to stability and gameplay balance.
Meanwhile, Forza Horizon 5 – developed by Playground Games – continues its own update cycle, with new seasonal events and challenges still planned.
The reassurance comes at a time when live-service game strategies across the industry have faced scrutiny, with studios reducing staff or scaling back projects.
Turn 10’s focus on ongoing support mirrors Microsoft’s broader approach to maintaining player engagement through regular content drops.
While some fans remain concerned about the long-term roadmap for both titles, Microsoft’s statement signals no immediate slowdown in development.
With the Forza Motorsport community awaiting further refinements and Horizon 5 players looking ahead to fresh in-game festivals, both series appear set to remain active in the months ahead.
