Nicole Kidman felt ‘nervous’ before Chanel appearance at Paris Fashion Week

Nicole Kidman has admitted she felt “nervous” before making an appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

Nicole Kidman was “very nervous” before her Paris Fashion Week appearance.

The 58-year-old actress – who announced this week she is returning to Chanel as an official brand ambassador – stepped out at the Chanel Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show on Monday (06.10.25) with her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, by her side.

In a behind the scenes video for Vogue magazine, she said: “I’m just very nervous, actually.

“I have my daughters coming with me. But I’m very excited for Matthieu [Blazy] because this is a big moment for him.”

Nicole made her first public appearance since filing for divorce her children’s father Keith Urban.

However, she was glad to be there to support her friend Mattieu, who is the fashion house’s new creative director.

She added: “To be able to celebrate him with his first show with Chanel, and the beginning of an incredible journey together, it’s exciting, right?”

In a statement earlier this week, she told WWD she is “thrilled” to be teaming up with the brand for its new chapter.

She added: “As someone who has such an appreciation for haute couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu’s vision for the oldest haute couture house still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations.

“Chanel has always been ahead of the curve, shining a smart and gracious light on women, and I am sure Matthieu will be no exception, just like [late creative director Karl Lagerfeld] did in his time.”

Meanwhile, Blazy – who has collaborated with Nicole before when he was creative director at Bottega Veneta – described her as the “embodiment” of Chanel.

He said: “From the unforgettable Baz Luhrmann film to her countless red carpet looks, Nicole has always been part of the history of the house.

“Free and ever-changing, she is for me the embodiment of the Chanel woman.

“I know we also share a genuine passion for craft and savoir-faire. Having worked with Nicole in the past and now reuniting with her at Chanel is a dream come true and couldn’t make me happier.”
