Google pledges to supercharge UK businesses with nationwide AI tour

Google has launched a UK-wide Grow with Google: AI for Business tour to train small businesses and entrepreneurs in using AI tools to drive innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth.

Google has announced a new nationwide AI tour across the UK aimed at helping small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs harness the power of artificial intelligence to boost growth and innovation.

Revealed in a post on the company’s official blog, the initiative – called Grow with Google: AI for Business – will see the tech giant travel to major cities and towns throughout the country to deliver free training, hands-on workshops, and one-to-one coaching sessions on how AI can improve productivity, marketing, and customer engagement.

The tour, which kicks off later this month in Manchester, will visit more than a dozen locations including Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, and London.

Google has said the goal is to make AI “accessible to every business, no matter its size or industry,” and to ensure that UK organisations can benefit from the same tools already transforming global commerce.

According to Google UK and Ireland managing director Debbie Weinstein, the programme is designed to help businesses build confidence in adopting AI responsibly and effectively.

She said: “AI is unlocking new opportunities for British businesses every day.

“Through this tour, we want to empower entrepreneurs to use these technologies to innovate, save time, and grow sustainably.”

Participants will learn how to use Google’s AI tools, including Gemini, AI-powered Search, and Google Ads’ smart campaign features, with training tailored to specific sectors such as retail, hospitality, and creative industries.

The workshops will also cover practical topics like automating routine tasks, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving data management through cloud services.

Google says the tour builds on its long-standing commitment to supporting UK digital skills, following previous initiatives that have trained more than one million people since 2015.
