Red Dead Redemption coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Netflix, iOS and Android

Rockstar Games has revealed Red Dead Redemption is hitting PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Netflix, iOS and Android on December 2, 2025.

Rockstar Games has officially announced Red Dead Redemption is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Netflix, iOS and Android.

Just after the game was given an M rating from the ESRB on the current-gen consoles, the studio confirmed its 2010 action-adventure title and its fan-favourite zombie expansion Undead Nightmare will be rereleased on December 2, 2025.

The launch marks the widest platform rollout in the series’ history, bringing John Marston’s iconic Western tale to both cutting-edge consoles and mobile devices.

These versions include the full single-player campaigns for Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare, plus all bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.

Rockstar confirmed several modern enhancements, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S getting 4K resolution, HDR, and smooth 60fps support.

On Nintendo Switch 2, the game benefits from DLSS upscaling, high-resolution output, HDR, and – surprisingly – mouse input support, a rarity for console titles.

Mobile players will experience the game with touch-friendly controls on compatible iOS and Android devices, while Netflix subscribers can download and play it at no extra cost through the Netflix Games catalogue.

Rockstar is also offering free digital upgrades for existing owners on PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One (via digital backward compatibility).

Save data can be carried over, letting players pick up exactly where they left off – including transferring progress from Nintendo Switch to Switch 2.

The new versions were developed in partnership with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games and will also join the GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on launch day.

With Grand Theft Auto VI delayed to November 2026, this multi-platform revival of Red Dead Redemption helps fill Rockstar’s release schedule – while introducing the classic to millions of new players across mobile, console, and cloud-linked devices.
