The 38-year-old actress took to Instagram on Friday (26.12.25) to announce that she and Matt Southcombe are set to get married.
Captioning a series of shots that captured the special moment, Brandi penned: “It’s been the craziest, biggest year of my life and I get to close it out saying YES to forever with my dream man … @mattsouth I’m so thankful everyday that my flight got cancelled and I walked into this coffee shop one afternoon and found you.
“You’re my very best friend and everything I’ve spent my whole life looking for. I love you forever!!! (sic)”
Matt took to his Instagram Stories to share his excitement about getting engaged to Brandi – the eldest daughter of 58-year-old manager-and-film producer Tish Cyrus, and the oldest sister of 33-year-old singer-and-actress Miley Cyrus.
He wrote that he “locked down the dream girl”, and added: “Never met a sweeter, harder working woman in my life. (sic)”
And Matt also gushed over Brandi in the comments section of the DJ’s heartfelt upload – which led with a striking black-and-white photo of him dropping to one knee beside his motorcycle, as Brandi beamed with joy as Matt surprised her.
He said: “Not sure what I did to deserve such a good woman but I’m grateful for her everyday day! I love you! (sic)”
Brandi’s announcement, via the post – which also included pictures of the pair kissing at a dinner table, as her diamond ring, which features a gold band that splits off in two sections, sparkled in the light – sparked hundreds of congratulatory messages in the upload’s comments section.
Tish left three red-heart emojis.
Bachelor Nation star Ashley Iaconetti, 37, wrote: “Awww CONGRATULATIONS!! (sic)”
And a fan of Brandi’s said: “I’ve been teary eyed over this all day because I’ve always said I cannot wait til Brandi gets her fairytale because you are so confident and boss lady alone that I know it’s gonna take a real amazing man to support someone like you – it seems you don’t settle for less.
“Loveeee this so happy for you both congrats congrats congrats!! (sic)”
Brandi – whose biological dad is Baxter Neal Helson, 59, but was later adopted by country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus, 64, after he married his ex-wife Tish in 1993 – is the last of the Cyrus sisters to get engaged.
Her youngest sister, singer-and-actress Noah Cyrus, 25, got engaged to designer Pinkus in June 2023, and Miley agreed to marry 27-year-old musician Maxx Morando earlier this month after four years of dating.
It is unclear when Brandi and Matt started dating, but they became Instagram official on his account in October 2024.
