Capcom is set to reveal new gameplay and details for Resident Evil Requiem in a dedicated showcase this week, offering a closer look at the long-awaited survival horror sequel ahead of its February launch.
Capcom has confirmed it will unveil fresh gameplay for Resident Evil Requiem later this week.
The Resident Evil Showcase will air on Thursday (15.01.26) and promises “brand new gameplay and news” from Requiem, which launches on February 27, 2026.
Capcom has said the broadcast – starting at 2pm PST / 4pm CST / 5pm EST / 10pm GMT – will run for around 12 minutes, followed by a post-show discussion stream on YouTube, suggesting the publisher has more to unpack than a brief trailer drop.
Requiem has already sparked intense speculation since its reveal, particularly around its structure and scope.
Early footage hinted at broader environments, fuelling questions over whether the series is flirting with open-world design, or simply expanding its traditional survival-horror spaces.
With release now just weeks away, the showcase looks primed to clarify how far Capcom is pushing the formula.
One major mystery was resolved recently with the confirmation that Leon S. Kennedy will return as a playable character.
Requiem uses a dual-protagonist setup, pairing Leon with newcomer Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst whose sections are said to lean more heavily into investigation and tension.
Capcom has framed the contrast as a way to balance classic combat-driven horror with slower, more atmospheric sequences.
Narratively, Requiem marks a return to Raccoon City, tying back to the origins of the series while aiming to pull together long-running story threads.
Trailers have already teased familiar locations, including the ruins of the Raccoon City Police Department, where Leon’s story began nearly three decades ago.
Resident Evil Requiem launches on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, with standard and Deluxe editions now available to pre-order.
