Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria, passed away after consuming cocaine.
Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria, died from the toxic effects of cocaine.
The 34-year-old actress was found dead in a hotel room at the Fairmont San Francisco in the early hours of New Year’s Day (01.01.26) after the San Francisco Fire Department responded to “a report of a medical emergency”.
After it was suspected that she passed away from an overdose, the San Francisco medical examiner ruled the death accidental, as per a report issued on Tuesday (17.02.26).
In a statement, the San Francisco Fire Department told Us Weekly, following Victoria’s death: “Upon arrival, paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment. The person was declared deceased.
“SFPD and the medical examiner’s office were called to the scene. Scene turned over to SFPD and SF Medical Examiners.”
A 911 call revealed that San Francisco police officers received a call for “code 3 for the overdose”.
NBC Bay Area reported on Victoria’s death, citing police sources with “direct knowledge of the investigation,” and added that she was “found in a hallway of the hotel early Thursday morning”.
Authorities did not suspect foul play in relation to her death.
On January 2, Victoria’s family released a statement following her passing.
They told Us Weekly: “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Victoria – whom Tommy had, as well as actor Austin Jones, 43, with his ex-wife, Kimberlea Cloughley – appeared in some of her dad’s movies, including 2002’s Men in Black II, and 2005’s The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which he directed.
In 2006, the 79-year-old actor revealed he fired her from Melquiades Estrada but later rehired her.
He told The New Yorker: “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told her nurse to speak to her in Spanish, but I fired my daughter [from the movie].
“She had to get up at 5 a.m. for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge, so I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.”
