Kelly Osbourne has told how her famous family have tried 10 times to buy back their iconic Beverly Hills mansion, where they filmed MTV show The Osbournes, but they have been turned down each time.
The Osbournes have tried to buy back their famous Beverly Hills mansion 10 times – but they keep being rejected.
Kelly Osbourne has told how she and her relatives, mum Sharon Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne, are keen to purchase the plush pad, where they filmed MTV reality TV show The Osbournes alongside Kelly and Jack’s father, late rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who died last year aged 76.
Speaking in YouTube video Omaze Presents: Homes That Made Me with Kelly Osbourne, she said: “We’ve asked about 10 times if we can buy it back and they keep saying no, even though they’re never even there, the people who currently own it.
“But it was a great house.”
Kelly has “fond memories” of the abode, because it changed her life forever when she starred on The Osbournes, but she also recalls her mum Sharon going through a colon cancer battle while they lived at the property in 2002.
She said: “That house will always be one of the best places we ever lived, and I have such fond memories of it, because that house changed my life and we had a lot of fun.
“But there was a lot of sadness, too, because my mum went through cancer in that house.
“But we made it through.”
Kelly admitted having her life documented on TV via The Osbournes now feels “beautiful”, because she can always look back and see her late father in the footage.
She added: “It’s a beautiful way to look back on my life, and I have that forever.
“And I can always see my dad when I miss him.”
MTV’s The Osbournes ran for four seasons, from 2002 to 2005, and Kelly admitted it is still “absolute chaos at all times” when she meets up with her family.
The Osbournes is widely considered the first celebrity-focused fly-on-the-wall reality -series, and as a result, Kelly has said sorry for some of the “s**t” reality shows that have followed her family’s programme.
She said: “It’s crazy to think our family is the family that invented that style of television, and it halfway makes me want to apologise, because some of the shows that we’ve all had to suffer through have been quite s**t.
“But some of them have been amazing, and we were the first.”
