Hasbro has confirmed it could take “several weeks” to recover from a recent cyberattack.

The toy making giant – known for brands like Monopoly, Transformers, Dungeons and Dragons, and Peppa Pig – has confirmed the intrusion was detected on March 28, and they were forced to take down some systems to tackle the incident.

In a legally required disclosure to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said on Wednesday (01.04.26) that “identified unauthorized access” to its network.

The report continues: “Upon discovery, the Company promptly activated its security incident response protocols, implemented containment measures, including proactively taking certain systems offline, and launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity professionals.

“The Company’s investigation is ongoing, and it is working diligently to resolve the matter and determine the full scope of impact.

“The Company has implemented and continues to implement business continuity plans to enable it to continue to take orders, ship product and conduct other key operations while it resolves this situation.

“The need to run these interim measures may continue for several weeks before the situation is fully resolved and may result in some delays.”

Hasbro is also attempting to “identify and review the files potentially impacted”, while additional actions will be taken based on the “review and findings”, which will include “providing any notifications deemed necessary under applicable law”.

They added: “The Company will continue to implement measures to secure its business operations and take additional steps as appropriate.”
