Joss Stone is considering having a fifth child.
Joss Stone is thinking about having another child.
The 39-year-old singer already has Violet, five, Shackleton, three, 15-month-old Bear and nine-month-old Nalima with husband Cody DaLuz and while life can be hectic for the family, Joss won’t rule out the idea of expanding their household even further.
Asked if she’d have more children, she told Britain’s OK! magazine: “Never say never! We’re in that zone where my words don’t come out right and I put electrical items in the dishwasher, so sometimes I think we’re good to stop at four. Other times, I wake up thinking we should have another one. I’m probably a bit psycho, but let’s see what happens.”
Joss thinks her children couldn’t ask for a better father than Cody.
She said: “Cody and I make a great team. He’s super hands-on. My grandma once said to me, ‘Jossy, that man is the best dad I’ve ever seen,’ and he really is.
“It’s just us two with the kids, but we make it work. It’d be much harder if either of us had to go out for work, and I can’t imagine ever doing this on my own.”
While the couple don’t rely on childcare, Joss admitted things are different when she’s touring.
She said: “We do have help then, because I need sleep if I want to sing well. Our nanny Dominique comes on the road with us and she takes the baby so I can rest.
“We get a babysitter in, put the kids to bed and go to the local pub. The other night we had such a lovely time and stayed until they kicked us out.”
The Super Duper Love hitmaker shares a room with her two daughters and it isn’t always a relaxing experience.
She explained: “Nali is teething and the other night we overdid the yoghurt she loves.
“I was gently patting her and she suddenly projectile-vomited all over me. Me and Violet were falling about laughing, but then Cody came in and didn’t find it funny at all.
“I was covered in sick and had to jump in the shower, and because Nali had nothing in her tummy I was then up most of the night feeding her.”
Joss and Cody married in Nashville in October 2023 but are planning another wedding ceremony later this year.
She said: “It wasn’t really a wedding, more a three-minute ceremony with the kids, a priest and my dad on Zoom.
“I feel it wasn’t the wedding we wanted, so we’re hoping to do it again properly this year.”
