Vogue Williams admits she felt her ‘body had failed’ after two miscarriages

Broadcaster Vogue Williams has spoken about her pregnancy losses and anxiety as she prepares to welcome a fourth child with her husband Spencer Matthews.

Vogue Williams “felt like her body failed” her after suffering two miscarriages before becoming pregnant with her fourth child.

The model and presenter, 40, announced last week she is expecting her fourth child with her husband Spencer Matthews, 37, sharing the news on social media with images from a beach in St Barts.

The couple, who married in 2018, are parents to Theodore Matthews, seven, Gigi Matthews, five, and Otto Matthews, three.

Vogue revealed details of her previous pregnancy losses in a video on her YouTube channel, explaining she had experienced one miscarriage before the birth of Gigi and another loss last year after a 12-week scan showed the embryo had not developed.

She said: “I know I’m very happy that we are pregnant again, but as I said, the nerves will kind of always be there.”

Vogue described her first miscarriage as “really upsetting” before becoming pregnant again soon after, leading to the birth of Gigi.

Speaking about her second loss, Vogue said she had attended a routine scan and was told it was not “really a pregnancy” because the embryo had not grown. She said she was “really upset” and “embarrassed”, adding she felt as if her body had “kind of failed” her.

Vogue shared the pregnancy announcement alongside Spencer in a post captioned: “BABY NUMBER 4 INCOMING.”

The images showed the couple standing together with their foreheads touching and their bodies close, with Spencer placing a hand on Vogue’s stomach. Further images in the post featured their three children smiling on a beach, while Spencer was pictured holding Vogue’s bump.

The announcement follows recent speculation about the couple’s relationship, which Vogue addressed in a separate statement.

She said on Instagram: “It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up! I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours, but this just keeps coming up. It’s disappointing to see this narrative being pushed almost daily when it’s absolutely not true, and much more importantly, I don’t want my children hearing these lies in the playground. “We’re not sure what the angle is or where it’s coming from, but the whole thing feels very strange and mean. We’re very happily married and in love and I hope posting the truth on my own platform might make it stop.”

Vogue also spoke to The Sun about the speculation, explaining questions had arisen after Spencer stepped back from their podcast, prompting her to respond publicly to gossip about their relationship.
