Dennis Rodman paid an emotional tribute to the late Hulk Hogan as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday (17.04.26) night.

The basketball legend was part of the New World Order (nWo) along with the late wrestling legend, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in the late 1990s and he told of how happy he was to see Hogan’s son Nick in the audience at the event at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Removing his jacket to show he was wearing a Hulk Hogan nWo T-shirt, Dennis said towards the end of his speech: “I gotta speak about the person here, another person, Nick Hogan. Yeah, I’ve known Nick since he was like three, four years old. He’s been through some tough times.

“Back in the day, he was going through some really hard times. And his dad, man, just always stood beside him, no matter what he did. You know, no matter what he did, he stood right beside him.

“And I’m so proud of Nick, man. He seemed like a really got his s*** together.

“I’m just trying to get through it, brothers. Let’s get through it, brothers. So, yeah, you know. Bless you, Nick. Bless everybody.”

The 64-year-old sportsman ended his speech with an impersonation of Hogan, who died in July last year aged 71.

He said: “You know, I hope you guys don’t laugh at this. A friend of mine, Hulk Hogan, told me, he said, ‘Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the HulkaMania with the 24-inch pythons gets a hold of you, brother? Whatcha gonna do?'”

Ahead of the event, the WWE had unveiled a statue in trubte to Hogan, and Dennis was delighted to see it.

He said: “Here’s the ending right here. I love the fact when you can sit there, hold your head up high and see Hulkamania. That statue brother, that statue. I wonder what took so long. What took so long?”

Ahead of his induction, Dennis admitted he was likely to get emotional on stage talking about his late friend.

He said: “Before I go on stage, guys, I’ll probably crack up. I love the fact what they did for Hulk Hogan today. I love that, I almost fell out of my chair. God, it took him so long to do this and congratulate Nick, your family. Oh, my God. Hulk, we love you. Miss you so much.”
