Trinny Woodall is ready to date but there’s one thing she won’t do

Trinny Woodall has revealed one major dealbreaker for a potential partner.

Trinny Woodall is “ready” to date again after three years of being single.

The fashion icon, who split from Charles Saatchi in 2023 after a decade together, insisted she has no plans to cohabitate with any potential flame, but she would like to have someone in her life.

She told Good Housekeeping magazine: “I don’t want to live with anyone again. I don’t want to make room in my wardrobe for anyone.

“I like my dog and my daughter – not in that order – but I want companionship. I think I’m ready for that after three years on my own.”

Asked what she might wear for a date, Trinny was thinking practically in case things go wrong.

She added: “I might try a lunch date – I’d wear a suit in a flattering colour and a silky shirt, but still with trainers, so that I had the excuse of getting back to the office if I needed it.”

One thing a possible partner must be wary of his paying her a compliment, as she joked she’d likely tell them to “f*** off”.

She explained: “Because I’m not good at taking compliments. It makes me feel uncomfortable. But I’m a real hypocrite because I love giving people compliments.

“We don’t do it enough – especially not woman to woman. I’ve been analysing women for decades and I pick up on a lot of things by how they how themselves, by their body language.”

Before her relationship with Charles, Trinny was married to Johnny Elichaoff, the father of her daughter Lyla, from 1999 until 2009, while he took his own life five years later.

Trinny revealed that Lyla, 22, is someone who “challenges” her “all the time”, and often tells her that “life isn’t bad”.

She’s tempted to reply: “Well, maybe not for you, since I give you cash to go to university; I was working weekends since the age of 16.”

Trinny suggested that Lyla gets her calmer disposition from her late father.

She recalled: “Her dad always saw the best in people. He treated everyone the same. He made them feel good. He asked them questions…”
