Sports Illustrated star Ashley Graham reveals what’s ‘sacred’ in her life

Ashley Graham has explained why she keeps her kids out of the spotlight.

Ashley Graham considers her family life to be “sacred”.

The 38-year-old model – who has Isaac, six, and four-year-old twins Roman and Malachi with her husband Justin Ervin – has explained why she’s made a conscious effort to keep her children out of the spotlight.

Ashley told Marie Claire magazine: “There’s just some things to me that are so sacred.

“We live in such an oversharing world … I feel like I’ve shared a lot of my life with so many people, [and] there’s three little things that I don’t want to share and they’re called Isaac, Roman, and Malachi.”

Ashley hopes her kids aren’t affected by her own fame and success.

The brunette beauty – who appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2016 – said: “Right now, I want my kids to just be kids. I want them to play and have fun.”

Ashley wants to ensure that her kids can enjoy an uncomplicated upbringing.

She shared: “That’s exactly what it should be as kids. Go out and explore and get dirty and come back home when you’re filthy and you have to soak in the bath to get the dirt from underneath your nails. Not, ‘Do you wanna be a star?’ They’ve got time for that.”

Meanwhile, Ashley previously revealed that another model questioned her Sports Illustrated photoshoot in 2016.

Ashley was the first plus-size star to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – but one unnamed model actually questioned the decision to platform her.

Speaking to Naomi Campbell as part of her No Filter With Naomi YouTube series, Ashley shared: “The second year that I tried out, I got it and I was a rookie. It was a fantastic photoshoot, great images and boom! I got the cover.”

Then, Ashley revealed how her photoshoot was received by some of the other models.

The runway star – who has been married to producer Justin Ervin since 2010 – said: “There was another model who was so upset that I had gotten the cover and she said I was very large and that women my size should not be on the cover.”
