Britney Spears out of rehab and ‘ feeling very positive’

Britney Spears has been pictured out of rehab and she’s said to be “healthy and happy” and “feeling very positive” as she faces an arraignment hearing on Monday (04.05.26) on a DUI charge stemming from her arrest on March 4.

Britney Spears is said to be “healthy and happy” after leaving rehab.

The pop star checked into a clinic in early April five weeks after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol (DUI) in Ventura, California in early March. Britney, 44, has now been charged with DUI and she will be arraigned on Monday (04.05.26) at the Ventura County Superior Court. Now she’s been pictured out of rehab for the first time – with the singer being snapped in the passenger seat of a car in Calabasas, California – and she’s said to be looking forward to the future.

A source told New York Post column PageSix: “[She is] doing really well … She’s healthy and happy and feeling very positive and excited to start afresh. Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself.

“She’s looking forward to a bright future.”

The publication reports Britney left rehab on Wednesday night (29.04.26) and a second source added the singer is “continuing counseling remotely”.

It is not yet known whether the Toxic star is planning to appear at her arraignment hearing in person on Monday.

In a statement given to Us Weekly, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said: “Whether or not Ms. Spears will appear at the hearing will be a decision made between her and her attorney.

“Since it is a misdemeanour charge, she is not required to attend, and her attorney can make the appearance for her.”

The District Attorney’s Office confirmed Britney will face the same “protocols” as everyone else.

The statement explained: “This DUI case will be handled according to our standard protocols. For defendants without a prior DUI history, a low blood alcohol level, and where there is no crash or injury, prosecutors typically offer what is known as a ‘wet reckless.’

“This law allows a defendant to plead guilty to reckless driving involving alcohol and/or drugs.”

The District Attorney’s Office also explained that this type of scenario is “common, particularly when a defendant demonstrates self-motivation to address underlying issues through rehabilitation or a drug and alcohol treatment program.

“Under that offer, a defendant is placed on probation for 12 months, receives credit for any time spent in custody, is required to complete a DUI class, and must pay state-mandated fines and fees. This offer will be extended to Ms. Spears on Monday.”

A spokesperson for Britney previously insisted the singer was keen to seek help and get her life back on track. The statement explained: “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.

“Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. “Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.”
