Barbie Ferreira feels ‘scared’ of getting Botox, but why?

Barbie Ferreira has explained why she’s scared of getting Botox.

Barbie Ferreira is “really scared” to get Botox.

The 29-year-old actress thinks she’ll get Botox treatment one day, but she wants to have an expressive face for the time being.

She told the In Your Dreams podcast: “I haven’t done Botox yet because I have to express a face and I’m really scared to go down that route. It’ll eventually happen.”

Barbie’s fear of Botox stems from her need to be able to emote as an actress.

She said: “I’m the most expressive person ever — I’m really scared of it. So what I do is, I like to do a lot of lasers like Potenza. I used to do Morpheus 8, which was crazy as a 23 year old.”

The Euphoria star explained that the Morpheus 8 treatment was so intense that she was offered ketamine and laughing gas during the procedure — an offer she declined.

She then joked: “I drove here! I’m good!”

Meanwhile, Barbie recently revealed that she felt like her “time was running out” when she hit 20 as a model.

The actress reflected on her decision to leave the fashion industry behind, having started in her mid-teens.

She told Bustle: “At 20, I felt like my time was running out. Modelling can make you feel washed at 24.

“I had to get back to the path of what I really wanted to do. I realised going back to acting was what I really wanted to do.

“I got caught up in the fashion industry for a couple of years — it wasn’t anything crazy, but I knew I needed to focus on what was next because I knew modelling wouldn’t be forever.”

However, Barbie did admit she has hit a sweet spot, which allows her to take certain brand deals to make money.

She explained: “I love doing that. I’ve been very blessed. I can design for Levi’s or do a campaign for Gap — small time commitments for enough money to survive so I can then do an indie movie or a Broadway play.”
