Spotify launches ‘Your Party of the Year(s)’ campaign to mark 20th anniversary

Spotify has unveiled a new personalised fan experience celebrating its 20th anniversary by allowing users to revisit their listening history and biggest streaming milestones.

Spotify has launched a new personalised fan experience to celebrate its 20th anniversary, giving users a detailed look back at their listening habits over the years.

The feature, titled ‘Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)’, rolled out on the Spotify app on Tuesday (12.05.26) and functions as a digital time capsule for listeners.

Users can revisit major milestones from their time on the platform, including the first day they joined Spotify, the first song they streamed, the number of unique tracks they have listened to and their most-played artist of all time.

Spotify is also providing every user with a custom playlist featuring their top 120 most-streamed songs, complete with individual play counts.

The experience is available to both Premium subscribers and free-tier users, with each section accompanied by social media-ready share cards similar to the platform’s annual Spotify Wrapped campaign.

Alongside the launch, Spotify also revealed the most-streamed artists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks in the platform’s history.

Taylor Swift was named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of all time, while Bad Bunny’s album Un Verano Sin Ti was crowned the most-streamed album in the service’s history.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s hit Blinding Lights was revealed as the most-streamed song ever on Spotify.

In podcasting, The Joe Rogan Experience topped the all-time streaming rankings, while A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas became the most-streamed audiobook in Spotify Premium history.

The anniversary campaign arrives as Spotify continues expanding beyond music into podcasts, audiobooks and personalised audio experiences.

The company has increasingly focused on user engagement features built around listening data, with Spotify Wrapped becoming one of the streaming industry’s most widely shared annual campaigns.

‘Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)’ builds on that approach by turning two decades of user activity into an interactive retrospective designed for sharing across social media platforms.
