Tristan Thompson has admitted he had a vasectomy after ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian gave him an ultimatum.
Tristan Thompson had a vasectomy following an “ultimatum” from Khloe Kardashian.
The 35-year-old basketball player has Prince, nine, with former partner Jordan Craig, True, eight, and two-year-old Tatum with ex-girlfriend Khloe and Theo, four, with Maralee Nichols, who got pregnant while he was still in a relationship with the Good American founder.
And now the sportsman has admitted it is entirely in Khloe’s hands if he becomes a father again in the future.
Tristan was a guest on his ex-girlfriend’s podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, and was asked: “Do you wanna have more kids in the future?”
He replied: “I think I signed off for two embryos. So, I mean, if I do have more kids, it’d be coming from you. I already have enough baby moms. Don’t want no more.”
Khloe then said: “And who helped you fix that decision? That was me. Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me.”
Tristan said: “What? Getting neutered? Sometimes you gotta lay them nuts on the table.”
The NBA star suggested he was initially against the idea but ultimately realised it was the right move.
He said: “I’ve been a little hardheaded at times … I wish I wasn’t as stubborn.
“Sometimes you have to get forced into the right decision.”
As the pair chatted, it emerged that Tristan had signed over the rights to his and Khloe’s embryos.
She confirmed: “You signed them over to me anyway, so I legally own them.”
Tristan agreed: “No more kids, unless it’s coming from Khloé’s embryos.”
However, the Kardashians star highlighted there were also other options for Tristan from their previous fertility journey.
Khloe – whose son was born via surrogate – said: “We saved sperm because I said, ‘What if you get married and your wife doesn’t have kids, and you wanna do that?’ So we did that. Because you could also reverse it.”
Tristan insisted: “No. I’m not, no. I’m not laying down on that table again.”
Khloe – who was previously married to Lamar Odom – recently insisted she is much happier single and it has even improved her health.
She said on her podcast: “My face is never puffy. I haven’t used eye drops in decades.
“I got my heart checked the other day and the guy was like: ‘Your levels are astronomical, you’re amazing … what did you do?’ and I said: ‘I sleep at night’.
“Literally that was my answer. F****** sleep. That’s it. [Sleep is] very important and these men are not … I don’t need to be good for another adult. I’m good for my children.
“One day [I might have another relationship but] it’s not a … motherf****** thought right now. I just don’t care … Talk about bliss … it really is. “
