Jodie Comer has called Givenchy’s Sarah Burton her favourite designer, thanks to her expert ability to blend the feminine and masculine.
The Killing Eve star took part in a video chat with Women’s Wear Daily, where she was questioned about her fashion wins.
She said: “I would say my favourite designer is probably Sarah burton at Givenchy. How I feel when I wear her clothes – I love that balance of masculine and feminine and I feel like she explores that so beautifully.”
In addition, Sarah is “such a gorgeous person”, and someone Jodie “loves spending time with”, with a “warm, fun intellect and humour”.
The 33-year-old also reflected on her first-ever big fashion purchase – a pair of £600 Dolce Gabbana heels.
She continued: “I remember this very distinctly. It was an enormous pair of Dolce Gabbana heels that I’d seen in a magazine.
“ecause that’s when I was much younger and I was going out to town in Liverpool, and they had a giant platform and a huge heel on the back.
“And I wore them… they were velvet and by the end of it they had no velvet left on them. They were like £600 and I think I spent my entire bank balance on them basically.
“But I got my wear out of them, they were loved!”
Taking on such a diverse range of roles as Jodie has in her career means she’s also been decked out in a huge variety of different costumes.
And asked what her favourite kind of costume is to wear, she replied: “I have to say, I do enjoy a period costume. Because I think it really helps transport you.
“I’d love to do something that was like 60s/70s – more recent rather than like early 1900s, 1800s. I think that would be really fun to be in that era.
“But yeah, anything that helps you step away from yourself.”
Jodie can next be seen starring alongside Hugh Jackman in The Death of Robin Hood, which they shot in Northern Ireland.
While the actress said she had loved filming on location, her skin wasn’t too keen on the raw milk and homemade bread she’d been consuming while there.
