Sienna Miller’s engagement confirmed by sister

Sienna Miller’s sister Savannah has confirmed reports the actress is engaged to Oli Green.

Sienna Miller’s sister has confirmed the actress’ engagement.

It was reported last week that the Factory Girl star was set to marry boyfriend Oli Green after she was pictured in Spain wearing a huge diamond ring, and now fashion designer Savannah Miller has revealed their whole family are delighted with the news.

Savannah told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “We’re all over the moon. It’s the happiest news, and it was beautiful, the whole thing. I can’t express how happy I am for her.”

Sienna and Oli welcomed their second child together into the world earlier this year, a sibling for their two-year-old daughter and the 44-year-old actress’ oldest child Marlowe, 13, who she has with former partner Tom Sturridge.

And Savannah, 47, admitted she timed her own pregnancy so she will be “in the trenches” with her sister.

She said: “It was intentional on my part.

“I thought, If she’s doing it again, at least I won’t be in the trenches on my own. I’ll join her… if I should be so lucky.'”

The designer – who is expecting her first child with partner James Whewell and already has Moses, 21, Lyra, 18 and Bali, 14, with her first husband Nick Skinner, as well as being stepmother to 31-year-old Java Skinner – hit out at the judgement women can face for having children later in life.

She said: “It frustrates me immensely, because if it were a man, the question wouldn’t arise; it doesn’t enter people’s heads.

“If it’s biologically possible, then clearly it’s totally fine. People are always going to have their opinions, but each to their own.”

Her comments came after Sienna – who has been dating Oli for four years – previously admitted she has found being pregnant in her 40s “so much easier” than her 20 because her life is in a “more grounded space” now.

She told Glamour magazine: “Having had a baby at 29, and then having a baby at 42, and now 44, it’s so much easier when you don’t have the conflict of feeling scattered and like you want to be doing X, Y, Z.

“If I’m in bed at 9 p.m. with a book, I’m so happy now.

“And now I’ve got the excuse to do it.

“Life is in a more grounded space. I think the 30s are chaos.

“You’re like, ‘I want to settle down. I want kids.’ “

Sienna also found being pregnant in her 40s easier because she doesn’t care “what anyone else thinks”.

She added: “But by the time you hit 40, you’re like, ‘I kind of know who I am. I don’t really give a s*** about what anyone else thinks.’

“I’m a much more grounded human.

“We don’t judge men who are having kids in their 80s. Why on earth is there any sort of narrative?”
