Paulina Porizkova took to Instagram to reply to critics who suggested she needed to lose a few pounds in response to a previous post about how she’s fine with having put on weight in recent months.
Paulina Porizkova has hit back at those telling her she needs to lose weight, insisting she’s “more comfortable in this body” than she’s ever been.
The 61-year-old model took to Instagram to reply to critics who suggested she needed to lose a few pounds in response to a previous post about how she’s fine with having put on weight in recent months.
She wrote: “I got a lot of love and support from you all – and a few peeps who helpfully wanted to let me know that if I ate and exercised the right way, I COULD get rid of the weight.
“(Some also helpfully let me know for a small payment they would send me the program that they invented and worked awesome for them.)”
She continued to say that while “thank you, I know I can get rid of the weight”, that wasn’t the point of her previous post.
Paulina added: “I can eat less and work out more. I can get liposuction, or freeze my extra fat off in little bricks.
“My point was and IS: to resist to age takes an awful lot of time and money.”
She concluded by insisting: “At this point in my life I’m more comfortable in this body than I’ve ever been. More grateful for it.
“And I have a ton of other things I want to do with my time and money.”
Paulina accompanied the post with a video of herself showing off her figure in a red two-piece bikini.
With people in the comments section quick to praise her for her honesty.
One wrote: “The confidence of truly knowing and appreciating your body rather than viewing your body.”
Another added: “You look incredible, and not ‘for your age’ – I just mean strikingly beautiful, period.”
As a third commented: “Wish I had loved my body more when I was young. If I knew then what I know now.
“Hoping this body lasts another 60+ years. One of my grandmothers lived to 107 she had NINE children.
“Here’s to living fully loving our bodies.”
