The White Stripes’ star Jack White’s wife Olivia Jean filed for divorce from her husband of four years on June 3rd, and she has accused him of “inappropriate marital conduct”.

The former White Stripes star, 50, and the 36-year-old singer-songwriter famously married on stage during one of his concerts at Detroit’s Masonic Temple in April 2022, but more than four years on Olivia filed for divorce on June 3rd, listing that as the date of their break up.
According to TMZ, court documents read: “Wife would show that Husband is guilty of inappropriate marital conduct, which makes further cohabitation unsafe and improper.”
No additional details were revealed.
“Inappropriate marital conduct” is a standard term used in divorce pleadings in Tennessee.
Black Belles frontwoman Olivia is said to be seeking spousal support from The Raconteurs singer.
She claims in her filing that she is dependent on the Fell in Love With a Girl hitmaker’s income for bills.
Olivia is also said to have requested to be on Jack’s life insurance policy.
Jack and Olivia got engaged and married at his concert in Detroit in April 2022.
He was performing The White Stripes’ 2001 hit Hotel Yorba when Olivia, who had earlier opened the show for her now-husband with her band Black Belles, joined him on stage to perform the song just in time for the “Let’s get married” line in the track.
He then popped the question at his home city’s Masonic Temple Theatre, and the crowd went wild.
The pair came out for an encore of The Raconteurs’ Steady, As She Goes and The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army, and were joined by the bride’s father and ordained minister Ben Swan, who co-founded Third Man Records with Jack, who officiated the wedding.
The pair had kept their romance a secret, but Olivia has been signed to Third Man Records since 2009.
Jack – who was previously married to his former Stripes bandmate Meg White, between 1996 and 2000, and second wife Karen Elson, also a musician, from 2005 to 2013 – confirmed the pair were married by sharing a snap of the newlyweds at the concert on Instagram.
He captioned the post: “Let’s get married in a big cathedral by a priest.” 04.08.22 (sic)”
