RaeLynn – most famous for songs such as We’re American Made and God Mad Girls – took to Instagram on Tuesday (14.07.26) to share the news with fans that she and husband Josh Davis have called time on their marriage.
Country singer RaeLynn has filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years.
The 32-year-old star – most famous for songs such as We’re American Made and God Mad Girls – took to Instagram on Tuesday (14.07.26) to share the news with fans that she and husband Josh Davis have called time on their marriage.
She wrote: “After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision.
“As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together.
“I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”
Court documents show that RaeLynn failed for divorce on June 8 in Davidson County, Tennessee.
She is being represented by divorce attorney Rose Palermo, who is currently heading up the divorce case of Jelly Roll, in his split from Bunnie XO, among others.
The former couple are parents to daughter Daisy, who was born in 2021.
RaeLynn and Josh first met in 2012 at church, and became friends before embarking on a romance.
Things went from strength to strength, and Josh proposed to RaeLynn in 2015.
Speaking to Us Weekly about her engagement, RaeLynn said at the time: “OMG I’m getting married!
“My life has been so crazy with my singing career and traveling and being 21, but you can’t plan when you’re gonna meet ‘The One.’”
She concluded by stating: “When it’s right, you just have to go with it.”
Gushing about her other half, RaeLynn said: “He makes me better at everything I do. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Did that really just happen???
“Time to work out really hard to look good in that white dress.”
The next year, RaeLynn and Josh exchanged vows in Nashville, surrounded by friends and family.
RaeLynn first found fame on US TV talent show The Voice in 2012, competing on the second season and making it to the quarterfinals before being eliminated.
