Record producer Benny Blanco is heading to the UK to be with his girlfriend Selena Gomez on her birthday, but he is travelling across the Atlantic Ocean by boat due to a fear of flying.

Benny Blanco is travelling to the UK by boat to be close to his girlfriend Selena Gomez – due to a fear of flying.

The 38-year-old record producer has taken to TikTok to reveal he is sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, from the US to the UK, to see his wife, who celebrates her 34th birthday on July 22nd.

Benny shared a picture of himself on a vessel and wrote: “POV: ur traveling across the atlantic in the titanic to see ur wife bc ur scared of flying (sic)”

He also penned in the TikTok caption: “the things we do for love”

Later in the clip, Benny shared a picture of the sea, and he pointed out something in the distance.

Benny and Selena have been embarking on a long-distance relationship in recent weeks, because she has been in London shooting the upcoming sixth season of Only Murders In the Building.

Last month, Selena posted several pictures of her and Benny, including a racy snap of him planting a kiss on her chest.

She wrote in the caption: “distance means so little when someone means so much…. @itsbennyblanco mish you bb (sic)”

Benny recently told how he and singer and actress Selena, 33, kept their romance secret for “a long time” after they started dating.

The pair went public in December 2023, and they wed in September 2025.

But Benny admitted they had been seeing one another for some time before they let fans know about their relationship, and Selena acknowledged that her fame would spark a lot of scrutiny once they did.

Speaking to Spain’s El Pais newspaper, he said: “We kept our relationship private for a long time, about eight or nine months.

“And she asked me, ‘Are you sure you want to do this? I understand if you want us to just be friends.’

“And then I said, ‘You know what? Screw it.’ We’re lucky because we both have friends and family we’ve known since before all this, and we’re surrounded by a good group of people we love.

“I don’t like to expose my life. Famous people are under constant scrutiny: if you say one thing, it’s wrong, and if you say another, it’s also wrong.”
