Britney Spears’ ex Sam Asghari has revealed he wants to start a family with his girlfriend Brooke Irvine – calling his partner “amazing” and “super supportive”.
Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari wants to start a family with his “amazing” girlfriend Brooke Irvine.
The 32-year-old model/ actor split from the Toxic hitmaker, 44, just over a year after they got married in June 2022 and he’s since moved on by striking up a romance with Brooke, 32, and they have been together for around two years.
Now Sam is looking to the future and can see himself settling down with his “super supportive” partner. He told New York Post column PageSix: “She’s amazing. She’s super supportive, and we’ve been trying to enjoy the summer and try to go on vacation, and we’re trying to figure out with the schedule where to go.”
When asked if they are thinking about expanding their family, Sam replied: “I’m focused on my career now, but what I’ve learned is if I’m going to create a future in Hollywood, I’m going to have to put myself at risk and not my family and the people that are next to me …
“But, yeah, at some point, who doesn’t want to have a family? I mean, everybody wants to have a family.”
In the interview, Sam also admitted he has fond memories of his relationship with Britney and wishes her nothing but the best.
He said: “The past is the past, and we get to celebrate it, and we get to always reflect on it,. You can’t change the past. The things that happened happened. And like I said, I would never complain about one thing that changed my life for the better or for the worse.”
Sam previously reflected on his relationship with the troubled pop superstar in an interview with Extra, saying: “I always like to stay respectful of the past. I love to celebrate the past and, you know, what happens in your life in every chapter …
“It’s nothing but love and nothing but experiences that you get to learn.”
Earlier this year, Sam was glad to see his ex-wife check into rehab weeks after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol (DUI) in Ventura, California in early March.
Asked about Britney getting treatment, he told TMZ back in April: “I think it’s great. “I think anything that has anything to do with healing and great things … and as long as the person is in charge of that, it’s all great.”
However, Sam admitted he hasn’t been in contact with Britney recently. When asked if he has spoken to her “at all”, he said: “Uh, no.”
Just two days after her arrest in March, Sam called for privacy for Britney following her “mistakes”.
He told Fox News: “When it comes to people making mistakes, I understand that. I think that everyone deserves privacy. And I hope the press has learned from the past, that they give her the privacy that she needs.”
