Eva Mendes says Ryan Gosling tribute tattoo is the ‘only one’ she’s ever wanted

Eva Mendes has admitted her tattoo tribute to Ryan Gosling is “the only” inking she has “ever wanted”.

The 52-year-old actress shared a series of pictures on her Instagram page over the weekend, with one snap showing her holding up her arm to the camera.

In the image, the words “de Gosling” – which translates to “of Gosling” – can be seen etched on her wrist in cursive writing.

One fan took to the comments section to praise Eva’s inking, to which she then replied of the tattoo: “It’s the only one I have, the only one I’ve ever wanted.”

Another fan then responded: “ I totally agree with you. If I were to get a tattoo, it would only be the one you have! The one and only!!!”

Eva and Ryan are parents to daughters Esme, 11, and Amada, 10, and were reported to have tied the knot in secret back in 2022.

The Place Beyond the Pines star then appeared to confirm the marriage speculation in an interview with Australia’s Today show in November that year, when she said: “Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband, Ryan, is here, and we are having the best time.”

Eva’s tattoo isn’t the first time the couple have made a public declaration of their love for one another.

Back in 2023, Ryan wore a necklace with the letter “E” on it – written in the famous Barbie font while promoting his movie Barbie, in which he played Ken.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ryan was asked what the E stood for, to which he replied with a simple: “Eva”.

The couple are notoriously private, but Eva opened up about how they balance work and their children in an interview with People in 2024.

Eva insisted that her decision to put her acting career on hold to raise the girls was the “easiest” one she’d ever made, adding: “I was older, and I knew that my kids are going to be little once, and whatever I do or don’t do right now is going to affect them the rest of their life.
“Your career comes and goes, but kids, yeah, that was easy for me. They’re just formative years. I wanted to be there for all of it.”

Ryan then told US TV show Extra of Eva: “She’s also like my acting coach. She has really become the best acting coach I have ever had. It’s endless how much she helps me.”
