Pat McAfee has revealed his incredibly sweaty interaction with Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise.
Pat McAfee “sweat all over” Taylor Swift the first time they met.
The 39-year-old retired NFL star attended the singer’s wedding to Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce earlier this year, but he didn’t get a chance to properly talk to her until the team’s win over the Denver Broncos this week, where he was a guest in the Kelce family suite.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, he said: “Got a chance to chat with Miss Taylor Swift last night. Huge day!”
“On the way out I go, ‘Miss Taylor, is there any way I can get a selfie with you?’ She says, ‘Absolutely!’ She was so kind, so hospitable.
“Her mom brought sugar-coated bacon strips. It was a thousand degrees so we walk all the way up there.
“I’m dripping in sweat, I am absolutely dripping in sweat. Take the jacket off. We walk in, my shirt is just drenched, obviously.
“First person we see – Donna Kelce, Taylor Swift.”
Pat explained that Taylor immediately wanted to pull him in for a “big hug”, so he had to just roll with it.
The former WWE superstar added: “I’m drenched. This is how I’m meeting Taylor Swift for the first time really.
“[At her] wedding, ‘Hello, how ya doing?’ Chaos, though. This is the first time really.
“[I] just sweat all over her. ‘I’m so sorry this happened, great to meet ya, you’re the best.’ “
Pat also had a chance to meet Hollywood royalty, as Tom Cruise was also there at the game.
He said: “I potentially talked to Tom Cruise last night. It was [awesome].
“I’ll tell ya, I was dripping in sweat and he had a leather jacket on, and didn’t have a single drop or bead of sweat anywhere.
“I asked somebody, as he walked again, ‘How’s this guy wearing [that] and not sweating?’ They say, ‘He’s the movie star, brother. He doesn’t sweat, dude. It’s kinda what it is.'”
