Nominations for the annual awards ceremony were announced on Wednesday (16.09.26), with Karol and Rosalía set to compete in the Record of the Year category, for their respective songs Coleccionando Heridas and La Perla.
Karol G and Rosalía are among the nominees for the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards, each earning an impressive seven nods.
Nominations for the annual awards ceremony were announced on Wednesday (16.09.26), with Karol and Rosalía set to compete in the Record of the Year category, for their respective songs Coleccionando Heridas and La Perla.
They are also both nominated for Album of the Year, Karol for Tropicoqueta and Rosalía for Lux (Complete Works).
Jorge Drexler, and Ca7riel Paco Amoroso, also earned seven nominations, and will also be completing for the Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year gongs.
However, it was Edgar Barrera who led the nominations as a whole, with 10 to his name.
In a statement, Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, said: “We are honoured to present this year’s nominees for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
“These artists reflect the extraordinary diversity and constant evolution of Latin music, and our Academy continues to evolve in response to this dynamic, creative landscape.
“At the heart of our Awards Process are our members, whose participation and expertise ensure that the Latin Grammy remains the benchmark for excellence in Latin music.”
Another important category is Best New Artist, with 11 artists up for the honour, including Delilah, Zeca Veloso and Arath Herce.
The Latin Grammy Awards will take place on November 12, and will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The nominations were chosen from recordings released between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. All the songs considered must be new, as well as containing a minimum of 60% lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese or any native regional language.
Voting will start on October 1.
