Pop star Lily Allen has revealed she’s currently house-hunting in the US as she “misses having a home” since selling the New York City property she shared with her ex David Harbour.

The 41-year-old singer has revealed she hasn’t had a full-time base since selling the New York City brownstone she used to share with her ex David Harbour so she’s now looking for a new apartment in the Big Apple and Los Angeles where she can settle once she finishes her West End Girl tour in Australia in November.
When asked where her home is now, she told The Cut magazine: “Nowhere, really. I’m looking for apartments in New York and L.A. After this tour is over, I’ll maybe be working on a new record.
“I have a few musical projects that I’m attached to. I’ve got a lot of writing to do, and I feel like I’m much better at writing in America than I am in the U.K.
“But it hasn’t been a priority for me because I’ve just been on the road. I’m living out of suitcases at the moment, and I do miss having a home – I’m a homemaker.
“Being on tour produces a sort of existential crisis because you’re like, What am I even doing? I’m spending all of this time away from home so that I can pay for a home that I can only afford if I’m not in it.”
Lily – who is mother to two teenage daughters with her ex-husband Sam Cooper – went on to insist her life is “good” at the moment as she feels “financially stable” and is able to eat well and enjoy nice vacations.
She added: “Well, I’m not, you know, suicidal anymore. I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on where I am and what my role is in the world and not necessarily where I’m heading, but I also don’t feel the need to control everything. I can just live in it and enjoy the good bits and not be too perturbed by the bad bits …
“I’m pretty filled with hope, and I’m pretty optimistic … My life is pretty good, you know? I’ve done really well this year.
“I’ve gotten myself into a place where I’m financially stable and self-sufficient. I’m setting a good example for my kids. I’m eating well. I’m going on nice holidays. I’m booked and I’m busy. How could I not be hopeful?”
When asked about her future plans, Lily revealed she is planning to take on more acting jobs and she has a big project on the horizon but she will be keeping the news secret for now.
