Actress Sienna Miller has admitted she regrets letting her 14-year-old daughter Marlowe join her on the red carpet joking she’s going to send her away “to a nunnery for the next four years”.

The actress has revealed she regrets letting the 14 year old – who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Tom Sturridge – join her on the red carpet at the London premiere of War last week (16,09.26) because the youngster’s appearance cause such a stir – and she’s insisted the teenager is unlikely to be attending any more high profile events with her mother in future.

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Sienna said: “Marlowe didn’t actually walk the red carpet with me. She came with her friend. My mom was also there ….

“It was five seconds at the end where she, like, came to give me a hug and totally mogged me.

“I somewhat regret it because I didn’t expect – and I don’t think she expected – that that would have the response that it got.”

Sienna then joked: “I think I’m going to be sending her away to a nunnery for the next four years until she can emerge as an actual adult … It was not what was planned. It was not intentional.”

She added: “She is extraordinarily beautiful, but that’s kind of the least interesting thing about Marlowe. She’s so clever and she’s so funny and she’s still my little girl.”

Sienna then Marlowe will be retreating from the spotlight for a while, adding: “I don’t know that we’re going to be doing more red carpets [together]. She, kind of, popped on at the end. It was five seconds.”

The actress, who is also mother to two younger children with her fiance Oli Green, previously admitted her teenage daughter has “got it all going on” and she takes style inspiration from model/TV presenter Alexa Chung as well as her famous mother.

Sienna told Vogue magazine: “She’s very cool. She says she likes bottom halves from me and top halves from Alexa – and she doesn’t hold back with the criticism.

“The other day, I put on this Chloé suede jacket – a really beautiful blue, gorgeous, cape-y thing – and she just went: ‘Napoleoooon!’ So I took it off. I do feel like I’ve got this great usurper in my midst …”
