Dave Grohl will get to live out his wildest dream opening for AC/DC again this week.
Foo Fighters are getting another opportunity to open for AC/DC this week.
Dave Grohl and co got to support the Thunderstruck rockers in a one-off on their Power Up Tour after The Pretty Reckless were forced to miss their St. Louis show on September 8.
At the time, frontman Dave admitted it was a “huge f****** bucket list check”.
And, after their concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford last Friday (25.09.26) was postponed due to severe weather conditions, Foos have been added to the new date on Friday (02.09.26).
The All My Life rockers announced on Instagram: “Let there be rock.
“See you October 2nd with @acdc!!!”
Dave was just as excited to get to witness one of his favourite bands in action after warming up the crowd.
He told the crowd during their opening slot: “I was so excited to have the honour to open up for AC/DC tonight.
“But now, as excited as I was to have the opportunity, the honour to open up for AC/DC, which has never happened and is a huge f****** bucket list check, even more than that, I was mostly excited to get off this stage and f****** watch AC/DC for the next couple hours.”
He went on: “So, as much as I loved hanging with you tonight from here.
“I can’t f****** wait to hang with y’all tonight from out there.”
Dave said: “We never say goodbye, because we always come back. I don’t know if we’ll ever open for AC/DC again, although honestly I think it’d be a great f****** tour.”
He also took a moment to thank The Pretty Reckless, stating that “we wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for them.”
Dave quipped: “Oh my god, send them a f****** cheese basket.”
He concluded: “So thank y’all so much. I can’t wait until the rock and roll band comes on stage and the rock show actually starts. See you around.”
