Tickets for the 2027 Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 42 minutes.
The legendary festival returns to Worthy Farm next summer following a fallow year in 2026 and tickets were rapidly snapped up after becoming available at 9am on Sunday (04.10.26) morning.
Glastonbury posted on social media just after 9:40am to inform applicants that tickets had sold out.
The post read: “Thank you to everyone who bought one and we’re sorry to those of you who missed out on a morning where demand greatly exceeded supply.
“There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in Spring 2027.”
Speculation is raging over who the three headliners will be for Glastonbury’s return next June, although festival organiser Emily Eavis recently confirmed that Oasis – who will be in the midst of their much-anticipated 2027 tour – won’t be taking to the Pyramid Stage.
When a social media user asked if the Gallagher brothers would be at Worthy Farm, Eavis commented: “Sorry Jimmy, not this time.”
Eavis confirmed in August that all three 2027 headliners had been booked as she debunked rumours of Madonna topping the bill.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s PM programme, she said: “No, it’s definitely not Madonna, I’ll tell you that. But we have got three headliners and we’re very excited about it – it’s all coming together really well.
“Pretty much 95 per cent of the stories [about Glastonbury] you read are not true, and rumours are pretty much always wrong. But the good news is that we’ve got our headliners and we’re cracking on, and we just can’t wait to get back.”
Meanwhile, it was reported last month that Lily Allen has been invited by Eavis to perform at Glastonbury next year following the success of her ‘revenge album’ West End Girl in 2025.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Emily loves Lily and sees her as one of Britain’s musical greats.
“Earlier this summer she officially asked Lily if she would play at Glastonbury next year.
“As long as her schedule allows it, I’m sure she will accept.
“Lily has a long history with Glasto, and to return to the festival after all this time would really be a sign she’s back to her best.”
