Dua Lipa is reportedly in advanced talks to headline Coachella in 2027 as plans for her huge year continue to build.
Dua Lipa is reportedly “in advanced talks” to headline Coachella next year.
The pop megastar’s 2027 is shaping up to be a huge year, with talk of a major stadium tour – and now it’s claimed the Training Season singer could be heading to the Californian desert to headline the world‑famous festival.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Dua initially was in talks with Coachella in 2023, but ultimately, she went with Glastonbury.
“Now, after a huge worldwide stadium tour, Coachella bosses have pulled out all the stops to get her to headline.”
Dua is expected to drop her fourth studio album – the follow-up to 2024’s chart smash Radical Optimism – next year with the shows set to “kick off her new era and cement her as one of the pop greats.”
It’s also been claimed that K-pop megastars BTS held “early talks” with the festival, but ultimately decided it wasn’t the time.
A source said: “BTS were in early talks for Coachella, but it all fizzled out quite quickly.
“They wanted to focus on their own tour and said Coachella wasn’t going to work for them.”
Over the summer, Dua was in the studio with Addison Rae’s writer and producer, Luka Kloser.
The Physical hitmaker shared a string of studio snaps, including one with Luka, who played a major role in shaping Addison’s debut album.
