The One Tree Hill actress split from Mike Caussin – the father of her older children, Jolie, 10, and seven-year-old Jace – in 2021, and while she wouldn’t have asked him to preside over her 2024 nuptials to Allan Russell, she would be open to being part of the former NFL star’s future marital celebrations.

Discussing Tobey Maguire recently officiating his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi, Jana praised the former couple’s maturity but admitted she wouldn’t have asked Mike to do the same.

She added on her Whine Down podcast: “I don’t think Allan would’ve allowed that either. I would never even have thought about that.”

Jana – who has two-year-old Roman with Allan – recalled people asking if Mike was invited to her wedding two years ago.

She admitted: “For me, I wouldn’t even have had him at the wedding.”

Her co-host Kristen Brust noted that she’s a “very Tobey person” and added: “I feel like you’d go marry Mike if he asked you to.”

Jana replied: “I would do it.”

The 42-year-old actress admitted she and her ex-husband have discussed their future relationship and their “dream” is to go away on a “beach vacation with the kids”, though that is unlikely to happen any time soon.

She said: “I can put our past aside and do that. Allan even said it here, that doesn’t make him super comfy or cozy. It’s not a ‘no,’ but it’s not a right now,” she said. “I don’t like the negative energy… But I would never have him officiate my wedding.

“Mike, I would love to officiate your wedding.”

Mike has kept his current relationship out of the spotlight, but in April 2025, Jana – who was also previously married to Michael Gambino and Johnathon Schaech – spoke of how she was “so nervous” about meeting his partner for the first time.

She said on her podcast: “The wildest part of it all is like, I am married with a new baby, and yet it’s still hard. I was trying to understand what piece of it is hard because it’s just not a natural thing, to be going to go meet someone that is about to be around my kids a lot, and I haven’t had experience with that at all.”
