The former New England Patriots coach faces fresh scrutiny over his personal life after reports emerged that his relationship with the former cheerleader ended months ago, despite the pair continuing to appear together at football games and public events.
Bill Belichick has reportedly split from his girlfriend Jordon Hudson after nearly four years together, with claims that the former New England Patriots coach’s much younger partner has already moved on with another man.
The 74-year-old NFL legend and Hudson, 25, began their relationship after meeting on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2022. Their romance became public in June 2024, attracting attention because of their 49-year age gap.
They subsequently shared a home in North Carolina, where Belichick coaches the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heels football team.
TMZ has reported that the couple ended their relationship late last year, although neither has publicly confirmed the separation. The outlet also claimed Hudson has been seeing other people since the reported breakup, without identifying a new partner.
The claims have raised questions because Hudson has continued appearing alongside Belichick at public events and college football games throughout 2026, including the Tar Heels’ recent fixtures.
She was reportedly spotted on the sidelines on October 25 as North Carolina suffered a narrow 31-30 defeat against Syracuse Orange.
Hudson was also photographed accompanying Belichick off the field the previous week, despite reports suggesting their relationship had ended months earlier.
The pair attended the Kentucky Derby together in May, when Hudson shared a photograph showing them walking across the muddy grounds.
She wrote: “Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together.”
The photograph appeared to show the couple maintaining their public relationship several months after the date TMZ has reportedly identified as their separation.
Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as head coach of the Patriots and another two as a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants, has faced considerable scrutiny over Hudson’s involvement in his professional affairs.
The former cheerleader attracted widespread attention during his appearance on CBS Sunday Morning, when she interrupted an interview conducted by journalist Tony Dokoupil, 46.
Hudson intervened from off camera after Dokoupil asked Belichick how the couple first met, prompting speculation about her influence over his public appearances.
The exchange became a widely discussed moment, with questions subsequently raised about Hudson’s role in managing the coach’s media commitments and business interests.
Belichick addressed those allegations during a September interview with the Wall Street Journal, rejecting suggestions that Hudson exercised extensive control over his personal and professional decisions.
He described the claims as “a flat-out lie”.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has reported that Hudson accumulated a property portfolio valued at approximately £6.72 million during their relationship.
The reported holdings include a £2.24 million property and a two-bedroom cottage in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, described as her primary residence.
According to the publication, Hudson has also paid off mortgages on her properties and registered 18 companies, although the precise nature of her business activities has not been detailed.
Belichick’s relationship attracted attention as he embarked on a new chapter in college football following his departure from New England, where he established himself as one of the NFL’s most successful coaches.
His partnership with quarterback Tom Brady, 49, delivered six Super Bowl championships and made the Patriots one of American football’s dominant franchises.
Hudson’s continued appearances around the North Carolina football program have also prompted questions about whether she will retain any involvement with the team following the reported separation.
Neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly addressed the latest claims about their relationship or identified anyone Hudson may now be dating.
