Hollywood star Nicole Kidman has offered some parenting tips to fans.

The Oscar-winning actress has Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, with her ex-husband Keith Urban, and Nicole has revealed that she always makes sure to give her daughters a hug.
The 58-year-old star – who also has daughter Bella, 33, and son Connor, 31, with ex Tom Cruise – said at HISTORYTalks in Philadelphia: “Both my daughters will kill me for saying this, but I’m like, ‘You need to hug [me] for two minutes a day’.
“It releases certain chemicals in the body and everyone needs to be hugged for about two minutes a day. Did you know that?”
Nicole relishes the challenge of parenting teenage daughters.
She said: “We’re so close, the three of us, we talk about everything.
“It means sitting on the end of their bed, when they say, ‘Come in here, sit down.’ And you go in, and you’re exhausted, and you sit down and you listen. And I always say, ‘Do you want me to give you advice now, or are you just sort of venting?’
“Primarily I get told no advice … 90 percent of the time.”
Nicole previously claimed she wants people to “share their knowledge” with her children.
The acclaimed actress would be “so grateful” if someone with “no agenda” wanted to pass on some knowledge to her brood.
She said: “I’ve worked now with so many young women, and obviously I’m raising young girls right now. If someone came up to my children and was willing to share their knowledge with no agenda, nothing other than just hoping that they have a great life, and in some way help them, I would be so grateful to them as a mother. So, that’s what I try to do.”
The actress also previously admitted she isn’t perfect when it comes to raising her brood – but she thinks there’s “no right or wrong way” to parent.
She explained: “Yeah … I think it’s [motherhood] just a journey. And the first thing is there’s no right and wrong. There’s just different children.”
