Lady Victoria Beckham names one outfit daughter Harper is banned from wearing

Lady Victoria Beckham has revealed her teenage daughter Harper is desperate to “get her hands on” her mother’s Spice Girls costumes but the singer-turned-fashion designer has banned the youngster from trying on her famous PVC catsuit.

Lady Victoria Beckham has named the one outfit her teenage daughter Harper is banned from wearing.

The Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer, 52, has revealed Harper, 14, is desperate to “get her hands on” the iconic costumes from her mother’s pop heyday, but Victoria is adamant she won’t be letting her little girl wear the black PVC catsuit from the band’s Say You’ll Be There video.

During a talk as part of the Time100 Summit in New York City last week, Victoria was asked if Harper will be inheriting any Spice Girls costumes, and she replied: “She loves fashion, she loves beauty, and I’m pretty sure she would love to get her hands on those Spice Girls costumes …

“Well not the PVC catsuit just yet. She’s 14, ok, So we’re going to wait for that.”

She added of Harper: “She’s been sitting on my lap through product development meetings since she was a baby. I mean, she is as obsessed with product as I am.”

During the talk Victoria also explained she refuses to “pay attention” to negative stories about her family after being caught in a major storm when their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 27, condemned his parents in a blistering Instagram statement earlier this year – accusing them of ruining his wedding to wife Peltz Beckham, 31, controlling him and being obsessed with image and social media.

When asked how she copes “when private matters become international news”, Victoria replied: “This has been happening since I was 20 so it’s been going on a long time.

“And I have an incredible husband who supports me enormously we’re always there for each other and I learned a long time ago not to listen to the noise.

“Not focus on the noise. Someone’s always going to have something to say. I focus and I don’t pay attention to it if that makes any sense.

“Someone else will deal with it. I don’t want to know. That’s how I handle it I suppose.”

The remarks follow a period of heightened public attention on the Beckham family, driven by Brooklyn’s explosive social media statements about his family he made earlier this year.

In posts shared on Instagram, Brooklyn addressed ongoing tensions with his parents, writing: “I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He added: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
