Katie Price insists ‘missing’ husband called her from Dubai prison in mystery saga

The former glamour model has claimed her husband contacted her from jail in Dubai after days of fears surrounding his disappearance and reports of his arrest by local authorities.

Katie Price claims she has finally spoken to her “missing” husband Lee Andrews.

After nearly two weeks of confusion surrounding his whereabouts, with Lee claiming he contacted the ex-glamour model from a prison in Dubai and told her authorities suspected him of espionage – Katie, 48, revealed her partner, 43, recently phoned her from Al Awir prison following days of mounting concern after he vanished while attempting to travel from Dubai to London.

Katie told The Sun about apparently speaking to Lee: “I have found him – he is alive, and he is ok.”

She added: “I told him how worried I had been and told him I loved him. It was very rushed, but he said the authorities out there thought he was a spy. I don’t know much more than that right now.”

Lee is said to have called his wife in a two-minute phone call from prison on Wednesday (27.05.26) morning.

Katie – who first rose to fame as Jordan before becoming one of Britain’s most recognisable tabloid personalities through television appearances, reality shows and documentaries including Katie and Peter – insists she has spent days publicly pleading for information about Lee after reporting him “missing”.

The story has dominated headlines throughout the week, with speculation intensifying after reports emerged claiming Lee had been arrested in the United Arab Emirates.

Katie married Lee in January after a whirlwind romance lasting just one week, marking another dramatic chapter in the star’s turbulent personal life following previous marriages to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler.

Katie’s reported phone call with Lee came on the same day she celebrated the 24th birthday of her eldest son Harvey Price, who has frequently appeared alongside his mother in documentaries and television projects about disability awareness and family life.

Lee was said to have disappeared after allegedly sending Katie a video showing himself hooded with his hands tied following claims he had been “bundled into a van” and taken to a so-called “black site”.

According to reports, he also sent a series of text and voice messages claiming he had been kidnapped while trying to fly to Britain for the couple’s planned appearance on Good Morning Britain.

The Daily Mail reported over the weekend Lee’s father, Peter Andrews, had confirmed his son was under arrest in Dubai rather than missing.

Peter told the publication: “Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge.”

He added: “I’m not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today. He is not at my house.”

A police source also told the newspaper: “Lee Andrews has been arrested.”

The British Foreign Office said it had been supporting the family of a British man and remained in contact with local authorities in Dubai.

Authorities in the emirate had initially denied any knowledge of Lee’s whereabouts.

The Daily Mail reported there was no sign of Lee at his former address in the Satwa district of Dubai, where he previously lived with his father before beginning his relationship with Katie.

Local workers renovating the bungalow reportedly said the Andrews family had moved out months earlier.

Lee, who has lived in Dubai for around two decades, is understood to be well known within bodybuilding and fitness circles in the city.

Staff at Top Gym in Palm Jumeirah reportedly told reporters he had not attended the venue for several weeks.

One gym employee said: “Yes, we all know Lee. He comes here a lot. He brought his wife here recently.”

The employee added: “But he has not been here since the third week of April.”

Further reports also claimed Dubai police chief Brigadier Khalid Khalifa al Avadhi confirmed Lee was the subject of several arrest warrants linked mainly to alleged fraud offences.

Brigadier Khalid told the Daily Mail: “There are many cases against him.”

During Lee’s disappearance, Katie posted emotional messages on social media describing herself as heartbroken.

One shared graphic featured a broken heart alongside the words: “Without you”, while another read: “When I see you.”

Katie also shared a quote saying: “I choose you and I’ll choose you over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat I’ll keep choosing you.”
