Spice Girls star Mel B took to Instagram to share photos of the pair’s wedding day on July 6, 2025.
Mel B marked her first anniversary with Rory McPhee by paying tribute to her “amazing, kind and gorgeous” husband.
The Spice Girls star took to Instagram to share photos of the pair’s wedding day on July 6, 2025, as she wrote alongside it: “Wowza this time last year I married the most amazing kind gorgeous man in the whole universe.
“Looking at these pictures captured on the day brings warm streams of tears to my eyes.”
Mel added that “God had a plan unbeknownst to me”, and admitted she “fought it tooth and nail”.
She continued: “But you Rory YOU my love bit by bit you showed me what true love is and feels like.
“Even though I pushed you away, you always knew we were meant to be.”
The 51-year-old singer concluded by saying that she “couldn’t be happier in life with you my darling husband”, writing: “I love you beyond words, you’re my everything”.
Comments on the post included some from Mel’s famous friends, with Daisy Lowe writing: “Happiest anniversary lovebirds!”
While someone else said: “Happy Anniversary to the both of you! beautiful couple!”
And a third commented: “Happy anniversary to you both! Wish you all the happiness in the world!”
Rory is Mel’s third husband – she was previously married to Stephen Belafonte from 2007 to 2017, and to Jimmy Gulzar from 1998 to 2000.
She has three children – Phoenix, whose dad is Jimmy, Angel, who she had following a brief romance with actor Eddie Murphy, and Madison, whose father is Mel’s ex-husband Stephen.
Mel has claimed Stephen was abusive towards her during their marriage, and previously told the Mail on Sunday’s Event Magazine: “In the process of my marriage I lost my family, my friends, my self-respect and I almost lost my life.
“And for so long I felt ashamed. I thought I was stupid, that everything that happened was my fault. I had never heard of a coercive relationship.
“Even after I left him I never realised so many other women have almost exactly the same story to tell,.
“It was only after my book came out that I realised emotional abuse is an epidemic that affects millions. It’s the shame that makes you suffer in silence. But I am no longer ashamed.”
Stephen has denied Mel’s claims, calling them “outrageous and unfounded”.
