Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson has shared his top beauty tip for men by insisting “all dudes must use” toner as part of their skincare regime.
Dwayne Johnson has shared his top beauty tip for men declaring “all dudes must use” toner.
The Fast and Furious star, 54, has opened up about his grooming regime and revealed toner is one product that most men don’t bother with but they really should give it a go.
When asked to share his best skincare tip for me, he told PEOPLE: “It’s toner. Dudes, you must use toner … Toner is the quiet superpower. Because toner’s the thing that our girls use, our ladies use that. “
Johnson founded his own skincare brand, Papatui, in 2024 and he joked he launched the company so he wouldn’t have to keep stealing his wife’s products.
He added: “Instead of going to steal their [women’s] stuff, I founded Papatui.”
Papatui stocks a Rejuvenating Facial Toner as well as a moisturiser, cleanser, eye gel, body wash , cologne and hair care.
However, Johnson found himself at the centre of an online meme storm when the internet discovered a famously bald man was selling shampoo and conditioner.
The actor was able to joke about the viral TikTok video which started the meme craze by declaring the wig he wears in Moana needs taking care of just like real hair.
He wrote in a comment: “Ok this made me belly laugh.. HARD. And hey, sometimes a Demigod’s radiant and ravishing hair needs shampoo/conditioner. You’re Welcooooome .”
A statement posted on the brand’s website explains the actor founded the brand to provide men with a “simple” and “effective” regime with “clean ingredients”.
The statement explained: “Papatui is a men’s care brand built on the belief that taking better care should be simple, effective, and accessible to everyone.
“Founded by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Papatui was created to redefine men’s care with high-performance formulas, clean ingredients, and a routine that fits real life.
“Our products are designed to help men look and feel their best every day, with skincare and body care that works as hard as you do.”
The brand also donates body and shower products to “youth groups” for “at-risk or less privileged” youngsters.
The company’s message added: “Why? There’s power in the confidence young people get from smelling good and taking care of themselves.
“Confidence is critical in the teenage years. Having access to quality body care products is important.”
