Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s family is growing.

The couple are already parents to two daughters – Esmeralda, 11, and 10-year-old Amada – but Eva took to Instagram to reveal their brood has a new member.

In the post on Friday (31.07.26), Eva shared several snaps of a their new dog Charlie, as she played with the pooch and the family’s other pet, Magic, in the grass.

She wrote alongside the pictures: “Introducing Charlie, our newest member of our familia.”

Eva, who looked stunning in a pale blue dress as she oversaw the pooch play fighting, added: “We’re in love!”

She also revealed Charlie’s breed, as she tagged California Doodle Rescue – a nonprofit organisation “helping all doodles get a second chance” – in the post.

California Doodle Rescue also shared Eva’s post on their Stories, adding: “Congratulations!”

People were quick to comment on Eva’s Instagram post, with one writing: “Oh I love this – family just got even cuter!”

Another added: “Thank you for rescuing them! Thank you for hopefully teaching people the right way to get a pet.”

As a third commented: “What a wonderful gift for Magic to have a companion in Charlie. Clearly they are already getting along great.”

Eva has long been a dog lover, and previously said that having canines as pets helped prepare her for motherhood.

She told People: “You know what? It’s not that different. It really isn’t. The love that you have for your dog, and how you are with your dog, I think, is really similar to how you are with your children.

“I really feel that, and people will probably get really mad with me for feeling that way, [but] it’s just so beautiful.”

Ryan is an animal lover too, and previously called his late dog George the “love of my life”.

George died in December 2016, and speaking about the dog on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017, Ryan said: “He was a good friend to me.

“It’s funny to say ‘dog’ because I feel like there was something about George where he always, I think he felt like he felt being a dog was beneath him, you know?

“He would not do tricks. If you wanted him even to sit down, you had to sort of convince him it was in his best interest.”
