The 47-year-old reality star had filed a request asking for his estranged wife’s temporary order against him to be denied and instead for her to be told to stay more than 100 yards away from him and his home.
Jax argued Brittany has repeatedly referred to him as “an abuser” and added: “She seems determined to make this a label that sticks, even though [he has] done nothing to deserve this.”
Part of the request was denied because an adequate ruling requires a hearing, and a court date has been set for 24 September, the day Jax’s temporary order will expire, Us Weekly reports.
Last month, Brittany received a temporary restraining order against Jax after accusing him of several instances of domestic violence.
After it was granted, the Valley star admitted he regretted some of his behaviour but denied the 37-year-old star’s allegations.
He told Us Weekly in a statement: “I made a lot of mistakes and behaved in ways during that period of my life that I’m truly ashamed of and regret and take full responsibility for.
“The person I was in 2024, during the darkest time of my life and at the height of my addiction, is not the person I am today.
“I got help, went to treatment, and today I’m one year and nine months sober. I’ve remained committed to treatment and therapy, working on myself and changing my life.
“There are allegations being made that I strongly dispute. The full story, context and evidence will be addressed where it belongs — in court. I will respect the court’s orders and the legal process.
“My focus continues to be my sobriety, working on my mental health, being the best father I can be to Cruz and moving forward in a healthy and responsible way.”
Brittany had alleged Jax exhibited “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence perpetrated upon” her for nearly ten years.
The Vanderpump Rules star – who separated from Jax in 2024 – has also alleged that her estranged husband once threatened to “gut [her] like a fish” and physically attacked her.
However, her request for sole custody of their five-year-old son Cruz was denied by the court.
