Christina Haack won money at a Las Vegas casino aged 21, and this is what she spent it on.
Christina Haack paid off her college debt with casino winnings.
The 43-year-old TV personality struck lucky in Las Vegas when she was 21, and she turned the unexpected win into a financial lifeline.
Sharing the full-circle moment on Instagram, she posted shots from a recent trip to a Sin City casino, including one of herself sitting in front of a slot machine while holding a glass of champagne from her brand, Clé Cachet, and with partner Chris Larocca.
Christina captioned the post: “Really come full circle since age 21… Paid off my college debt by hitting it big on ‘top dollar’ (true story -IYKYK)… now 22 years later getting to drink my champagne while playing my fav. Priceless.
“My mom always told me no one actually wins in Las Vegas. Turns out mama’s not always right (sic).”
The HGTV star and Chris celebrated their two-year dating anniversary in September, just over a year after her pal Heather Rae El Moussa insisted she was “not wanting to rush into anything” with the Network Connex CEO.
Asked about the possibility of them tying the knot, Heather told E! News: “If so, it will be some time. She’s not wanting to rush into anything.”
Despite this, Heather insists that she is a big fan of their romance, describing Christina and Chris as a “cute” couple.
The model said: “They’re just really cute together. They’ve been together for quite a while, and I’ve really enjoyed every time I’ve spent time with him.
“It’s the first guy she’s been together with that I’ve really liked.”
Christina separated from her ex-husband Josh Hall in 2024, and in May 2025, the pair confirmed they had agreed the terms of their split after undergoing mediation.
And Christina admitted that her divorce settlement was “not great”.
Speaking on a June episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, she said: “I signed something. There’s like a process after the process. It was resolved in mediation after I think 12 hours.
“I heard a saying once, like, if you both think you’re screwed, then whatever you want. I don’t know how it goes.
“Look, it’s not great, but I guess it’s done.”
