Eric Dane’s daughter wanted to marry Euphoria star Jacob Elordi

Eric Dane, who died in February, portrayed Cal Jacobs, the dad of Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi, in HBO’s Euphoria.

Eric Dane’s daughter wanted to marry his Euphoria son Jacob Elordi.

Before Eric died from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in February at the age of 53, he revealed in his posthumous memoir, My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments, that Billie had expressed a desire to tie the knot with 29-year-old actor Jacob.

And Eric, who also had Georgia, 14, with his 55-year-old wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, jokingly gave his approval, describing Jacob as a “good kid”, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Opening up about Billie and Georgia’s future love lives, Eric wrote: “I know you’re both starting to get interested in boys. Well, Georgia, you’re starting, and Billie is already there.

“When it comes to thinking about you going out with boys, I’ve matured.”

The Grey’s Anatomy star remembered how he “used to joke that if I saw a guy within 10 feet of either of you, I’d kill him”.

But noted: “It wasn’t that much of a joke [as] when your daughters are young, you want to protect them” from danger – including in a relationship.

“When they get older, you want them to be safe.”

He proved his “maturity” by recalling how Billie once said she would like to marry Jacob, who played Nate Jacobs, the son of Eric’s character, Cal Jacobs, in the HBO psychological drama series Euphoria.

Eric recalled: “But recently, Billie mentioned that she would like to marry Jacob Elordi, who plays my son in Euphoria. I approve. He’s a good kid. See? Maturity.”

Jacob, who is in a relationship with 31-year-old model Kendall Jenner, is the main narrator of My Book of Days: A Memoir in Moments.

Former First Lady of California Maria Shriver, 70, whose imprint The Open Field is publishing the book on November 3, is also listed as a narrator, reading the “Dear Reader” chapter, which she wrote herself.

Eric previously spoke about working with Jacob ahead of their reunion in the third season of Euphoria, which aired earlier this year.

The Last Ship alum filmed scenes for the season before his death, marking his final on-screen appearance.

Eric told TooFab: “Jacob and I have a pretty profound amount of respect for each other off set.

“He’s a really great person. And he’s a lot of fun to work with. He’s a super committed actor, which allows us to sort of talk craft here and there. And we love doing that. It’s just a great time working with him.”
