Singer Alanis Morissette has revealed she has a psychic connection with her twin – revealing the pair have a “straight up telepathy” and are able to have whole conversations without speaking.

The Ironic singer, 52, grew up in Canada with her twin brother Wade, who is also a musician, and she’s revealed the pair have a “straight up telepathy” and are able to have whole conversations without speaking – a gift which baffled their friends and family when they were kids.
During an appearance on the Good Hang With Amy Poehler podcast, Alanis explained: “I think just the straight telepathy … [We have it] oh yeah …
“We, my twin and I, would be camping on some island in Canada and there would be a few people around, fire crackling and we would have an entire conversation that was quiet [unspoken] and once in a while I would finish it would a verbal like ‘Yeah’. And everyone else would be like: ‘What?’ and Wade my twin would go [nods] .”
Alanis revealed she still has a strong connection with Wade and they always have a sense of what the other is going through.
She added: “We talk all the time and I have a sense of what’s up with him and he knows what’s up with me. [There’s] a lot of comedy though. [That’s] the number one for us.”
It comes after Alanis opened up about being a highly sensitive person (HSP) admitting she’s often found life to be”lonely and painful” but she has finally found she makes “more sense to people” after years of struggling to find ways to “regulate” the flood of emotions she feels as an empath.
She told Sunday Times Style magazine: “I tried myriad ways to regulate, whether that was partying or working. I was a huge work addict, still in recovery. A lot of love addiction, which also had some sex addiction. And I see this with empaths.
“We aren’t given a handbook about how to be responsible for this temperament. All I know is that I made absolutely no sense to most people for a very long time and it was lonely and painful but I persevered.
“Now I feel myself making more sense to people – there’s a curiosity about what I’m talking about versus an immediate shutdown.”
