Jason Statham building ‘forever home’ beside naturist beach retreat

The actor and his supermodel partner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are building a sprawling beachfront estate on England’s south coast as the couple continue their move away from Hollywood life.

Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are building their sprawling £25 million “forever home” beside a naturist beach.

The Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels actor, 58, and his supermodel partner, 39, are preparing to swap Hollywood glamour for a secluded stretch of the English coastline to live in a home complete with a private shoreline, boating lake, gym, horse stables and treehouse for their children Jack, eight, and Isabella, four.

Land Registry records quoted by the Daily Mail have now shown Jason purchased the waterfront site in January 2024 for £20 million, with a further estimated £5 million expected to complete the ambitious build.

The Mail has also revealed the property, designed in a minimalist brutalist style, sits alongside a naturist beach and close to a nature reserve frequented by birdwatchers and walkers.

The vast single-level home includes five bedrooms, a private beach stretching roughly 1,200ft, an indoor lap pool and a separate building containing horse stables for Rosie, who recently spoke about her hopes of returning to equestrian life after years living in London and Los Angeles.

Speaking to Australian Vogue, Rosie said: “There’s an incredible dressage school around the corner.”

She added: “I’ve been dreaming of this since I left home. It will be mud and kids climbing trees. London at the weekends can feel very destination-driven. I want peace.”

Rosie also reflected on her upbringing in rural Devon, describing her childhood as “rustic, outdoorsy, wild, simple”.

She said: “Home was a cottage on a couple of hectares with animals everywhere.”

Rosie added: “There was tack being cleaned in the back kitchen, usually some animals – a bird mum was trying to bring back to life.”

Describing her parents’ lifestyle, she said: “Mum has dogs everywhere and muddy boots, and it’s perfect for them. The house is completely untidy. They live a bucolic life – very bohemian.”

Rosie also spoke about the work ethic instilled during her childhood.

She said: “We lived within our means; we had enough.”

Recalling chores growing up, Rosie added: “Mucking out the horse every day, school uniforms ironed by me.”

She continued: “It instilled self-sufficiency.”

Rosie also reflected on her early fascination with the fashion world before social media transformed the industry.

She said: “All my girlfriends had posters of boys. I had fashion photography.”

Rosie added: “The industry was opaque unless you knew someone inside it. From my bedroom, it was just a dream.”

The model and Jason’s new home in the UK has already attracted attention from locals, with Jason reportedly spotted walking dogs near the site alongside longtime friend and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels co-star Vinnie Jones.

One resident told the Daily Mail: “I had to do a double take – it was very surreal. All of a sudden, walking past me was Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham, and a couple of dogs.”

The local added: “It appears Statham and his partner, the model Rosie, have bought this plot of land and are building a kind of ‘forever home’. It’s stunning.”

Construction activity surrounding the property has reportedly frustrated some nearby residents, with signs reading “NO CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC” appearing outside neighbouring homes as building vehicles travelled through the area.

The beach itself remains popular with walkers, families – and naturists.
